Moderately easy to treat with a partial penetration of the preservative products.
Ease of Drying: Both 25mm and 50mm board can be kiln-dried fairly rapidly (in 7 and 12 days respectively) from green state despite very high intial moisture content that may be over 200%. If preliminary air-seasoned to 30%, kiln drying will only reguire 1 1/2 day for 25m Drying Defects: wrapping and twisting may occur. occasional checking will close up tightly at the end of kiln-seasoning. If kiln dried from the green, a reconditioning treatment will probably be necessary, tentative 4-8 hours. Kiln Schedules: Preliminary air drying is suggested to offset tendering to collapse on kiln drying.
