Description Of The Tree

Botanical Description

It is a medium-sized to fairly large tree up to 35 m tall. The bole is columnar, branchless for up to 22 m, up to 100 cm in diameter, sometimes spurred or even buttressed.

Natural Habitat

Podocarpus neriifolius is found from the sea level to 2500 m of elevation. It is common in montane rain forest areas, where it grows always scattered. Trade controls, whole tree(Nepal)(CITES,III1,2001.7)
