Wood diffuse porous. Tangential diameter of vessel lumina 100 to 150 micras (small). Vessels per mm2 6 to 10 (medium). Vessels in radial multiples of 2 to 4. Yellow-colored deposits in heartwood vessels. Axial parenchyma thin vasicentric. Axial parenchyma in marginal or in seemingly marginal bands. Ray width 1 to 3 cells. Occasionally rays more than 10 per mm (abundant).
